Language

Arven Scarf is a triangular scarf/shawl worked on the bias, from one tip to the shorter edge at the opposite side. The shape of the scarf is nearly symmetrical.

Arven Scarf is worked in garter stitch, with eyelets along one of the edges.

The pattern is versatile and easy to knit. It works with basically any yarn and can be worked in any size, from a small scarf to a large shawl – just cast on and knit to desired size, or as long as the yarn lasts. In the pattern you will find tips for working the scarf as a zero waste project.

Size

Adaptable. The finished size depends on the amount of yarn – see examples below.

Gauge

Not crucial. The pattern suits a wide range of gauges – see examples below.

Wool yarn with approx. 250–400m/100g is recommended. You will need approx. 400 meter of yarn to get a small/medium scarf.

Suggested needles

Circular needles, approx. 3–4.5 mm, approx. 100 cm.
Choose a needle size that works well with your yarn.
